The Yorkshire Common Application Form (YCAF) has been developed by the 10-strong YCAF Task Force and during the development phase (July 2021 – July 2022) a number of funding advisors, frontline charities and community groups were consulted in order to create the final form. The YCAF is recommended for grants in the region of £5,000 or less.

We are encouraging local funders of all sizes and types to adopt the YCAF so that over time grant seekers will find that they are being asked exactly the same questions, in the same format by more and more Yorkshire funders.

As of March 2024, the following funders are now using the YCAF and it is available on their website or by contacting them directly:

  • Craven Trust
  • Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust
  • Prosper Wakefield
  • Sir George Martin Trust
  • South Yorkshire’s Community Foundation
  • Talbot Trusts
  • Tarn Moor Estate
  • Two Ridings Community Foundation
  • Wellsprings Together
  • Woodsmith Foundation

The following funders have committed to adopting the form and we will keep adding to the list as more funders join the initiative:

  • East Riding of Yorkshire Council
  • Leeds Community Foundation

To find out more, review the YCAF materials here:

Grant seekers will need to get in touch with each funder using the YCAF directly and funders need to get a specific online link from Yorkshire Funders.
