The Open and Trusting Grantmaking Initiative is a movement led by IVAR (Institute for Voluntary Action Research) to transform how funders and charities work together – making grantmaking more human, flexible and supportive, especially for small and grassroots charities.
170 funders of all sizes and types across the UK have now signed up to IVAR’s eight ‘Open and Trusting’ commitments – actively working to be clear, flexible, proportionate, and purposeful. They’re reducing unnecessary burdens, embracing risk, developing more equitable practices, and building honest, responsive relationships with the charities they support – with direct guidance and oversight from charities themselves.
Join this session to:
- Hear about the Open and Trusting initiative and the eight commitments
- Understand what Open and Trusting looks like in practice for small funders
- Explore the mutual benefits of Open and Trusting for funders and charities
- Hear from a Yorkshire Funders member how joining the Open and Trusting community has been for them
- Consider whether to join the community
This session is free for members of Yorkshire Funders to attend (£15 for non-members). Reserve your place at this webinar via this link.
