Ben Cairns, Founder/Director of IVAR (Institute of Voluntary Action Research) will host a two hour session which will cover:
- When IVAR asked charities what practical actions funders could take to reduce the wasted time, effort and stress of fundraising and funding relationships, 92% of their 1,200 respondents put better access to multi-year funding high on their list of priorities for change. In response, IVAR have produced a discussion paper to support debate and help more funders pick up the pace in responding to this urgent priority for charities – this will be shared in advance with all participants.
- We will begin the workshop by looking at what the research says about the benefits that multi-year funding delivers. We will then explore what progress is being made on increasing the availability of multi-year funding, before opening up for small group conversations and then a Q&A about barriers, obstacles and practical options, including the financial implications for grantmakers and their budget planning.
Please book your place by Friday 19th April.
